Festival Ballet Providence (FBP) is thrilled to announce the 2018-2019 season finale, Swan Lake, on May 10-12, 2019, Mother's Day Weekend, at The VETS, One Avenue of the Arts, Providence, RI.
Perhaps the best-loved and most famous ballet the world has ever known, Swan Lake is a masterpiece of dance and music, rich with drama and glowing with grace. The ballet weaves together a magical story of young love and wicked deception against a backdrop of Tchaikovsky's lush, passionate score. Audiences around the world have been enchanted by the timeless romanticism and beauty of Swan Lake. Elegant new sets will create a lavish atmosphere for the breathtaking choreography of FBP's artistic director, Mihailo (Misha) Djuric and Milica Bijelic, prima ballerina from the National Theater in Belgrade, Serbia (former Yugoslavia) and Festival Ballet Providence Ballet Master from 2002-2009. This show is sure to make this a beloved memory for audiences of all ages.
