New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) presents What the Constitution Means to Me by two-time Obie Award winner Heidi Schreck (Grand Concourse, 'I Love Dick') and directed by Obie Award winner Oliver Butler (The Amateurs, The Light Years). Originally scheduled to play its final performance on October 21, 2018, What the Constitution Means to Me will now play additional performances through Sunday, October 28, 2018. What the Constitution Means to Me began previews on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, and just opened on September 30 at New York Theatre Workshop (79 E. 4th Street New York, NY 10003).

La Femme Theatre Productions presents the revival of Tennessee William's A Lovely Sunday for Creve Coeur, directed by Austin Pendleton. After staging a string of successful co-productions with top Off-Broadway theater companies, La Femme is thrilled to debut its first solo production. Performance run through October 21, 2018 at the St. Clement's (423 West 46th St). A fitting venue for this production, St. Clement's was founded by Tennessee William's cousin, Reverend Sidney Lanier.  Check out photos from opening night below!

JUDSON ARTS WEDNESDAYS In Association with Carreon Productions, presented the very first New York reading of EYES CLOSED| EARS COVERED by Alex Gwyther. Directed by George Drance SJ, this One-Night-Only special reading took place on Wednesday, August 29, in the The Assembly Hall at Judson Memorial Church. The cast included: Paten Hughes, Tony Macht, Patrick Sawiles Caldwell, Jenna Wyman, Diego Andres Tapia and John Roney. 

PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL, with original music and lyrics by Grammy Award winner Bryan Adams and his longtime songwriting partner Jim Vallance, a book by Garry Marshall and the film's screenwriter J.F. Lawton, and direction and choreography by two-time Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell, opened just last night, Thursday, August 16, 2018, at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) presents the New York Premiere of THE HOUSE THAT WILL NOT STAND by Marcus Gardley (X: Or, Betty Shabazz v. The Nation), directed by NYTW Usual Suspect and Obie Award winner Lileana Blain-Cruz (Red Speedo; Pipeline).  The play opened just last night, July 30 at New York Theatre Workshop (79 E. 4th Street New York, NY 10003), for a limited run through Sunday, August 12, 2018.

Perry Street Theatricals and Jonathan Demar in association with Frederick M. Zollo and Diane Procter present The Saintliness of Margery Kempe by John Wulp, which opened just last night at New York City's The Duke on 42nd Street (located on 229 West 42nd Street, between 7th and 8th Avenues). 

On Sunday June 10th the Tony Night at the Palm Viewing Party was hosted by Christian Hoff, 2006 Tony Winner, Best Featured Actor in a Musical for Jersey Boys. The event benefitted The V Foundation for Cancer Research, founded by Jim Valvano in 1993.

THE WANDERER, written by Charles Messina, is a new musical based on the life of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame musician Dion DiMucci. The play chronicles Dion's life from his early years in The Bronx through his rise to fame and confronts Dion's struggles with his musical identity, his battle with drug addiction, his spiritual awakening and his place in Rock n' Roll history.  Through a musical journey that spans decades, THE WANDERER follows the extraordinary life of an ordinary kid from New York City

Country music and soap opera fans joined Club members last night for an intimate acoustic evening of original country songs at the iconic Friars Club. 

One Thousand Nights and One Day, a new musical with book and lyrics by Jason Grote, with music by Marisa Michelson, and directed by Erin Ortman, just opened the ART/NY Mezzanine Theatre (502 West 53rd Street between 10th and 11th Avenues).

ADMISSIONS just opened last night, March 12 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street). Ben Edelman, Andrew Garman, Jessica Hecht, Ann McDonough, and Sally Murphy star in this new play by Joshua Harmon, directed by Daniel Aukin. 

The musical A LETTER TO Harvey Milk debuts Off-Broadway at Theatre Row's Acorn Theatre (410 W 42 Street), running through May 13, 2018. A LETTER TO Harvey Milk stars Adam Heller (Broadway: It Shoulda Been You, Elf, Caroline or Change), Julia Knitel (Broadway and National Tour: Carole King in Beautiful, Bye Bye Birdie), Cheryl Stern (Broadway: La Cage Aux Folles, The Women), along with Michael Bartoli (National Tour: Joseph/Dreamcoat), Jeremy Greenbaum(Broadway:Newsies),Aury Krebs (Regional: Rent, Hairspray), and CJ Pawlikowski(National Tour: Book of Mormon, Memphis)

Roundabout Theatre Company presents the world premiere of Amy and the Orphans by Lindsey Ferrentino, directed by Scott Ellis. The cast includes Vanessa Aspillaga as 'Kathy,' Mark Blum as 'Jacob,' Jamie Brewer as 'Amy,' Diane Davisas 'Sarah,' Josh McDermitt as 'Bobby' and Debra Monk as 'Maggie.' Amy and the Orphans opened officially last night at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street). This will be a limited engagement through April 22, 2018.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) presents the World Premiere of AN ORDINARY MUSLIM, by NYTW Usual Suspect and 2017-18 Tow Foundation Playwright-in-Residence Hammaad Chaudry (Salaam, Mr. Bush), directed by NYTW Usual Suspect and Obie Award winner Jo Bonney(The Body of An American). Previews for AN ORDINARY MUSLIM began on February 7, 2018 with an opening last night at New York Theatre Workshop (79 E. 4th Street New York, NY 10003), now playing through March 25, 2018.

The Public Theater presents the world premiere of KINGS, written by Sarah Burgess and directed by Thomas Kail. Part of The Public's Astor Anniversary Season at their landmark downtown home on Lafayette Street, celebrating 50 years of new work at 425 Lafayette Street and the 50th Anniversary of HAIR, KINGS officially opened last night, February 20 and will now run an additional week through Sunday, April 1.

Due to popular demand, The Left Wing, in association with John Turturro, extends the world premiere production of Brandon Cole's Imperfect Love to February 25. Directed by Michael Di Jiacomo, Imperfect Love is inspired by the tumultuous life of the great Italian actress Eleonora Duse (1858-1924) and her nine-year love affair with the poet and playwright Gabriele D'Annunzio (1863-1938). The production, which is set to open on February 4, runs at The Connelly Theater and features set and costume design by the Academy Award-winning Italian designer Gianni Quaranta (Merchant-Ivory's A Room with a View). Turturro's 1998 film, Illuminata, which was co-written by Cole and Turturro, was based on Cole's Imperfect Love.

Virtuosity and imagination combine in one utterly unique event, as Tony and Emmy Award winner John Lithgow creates a singularly intimate evening. With equal measures of humor and heart, he evokes memories of family, explores and expands the limits of the actor's craft, and masterfully conjures a cast of indelible characters from classic short stories by Ring Lardner and P.
