The Laurie Beechman Theatre welcomed Broadway's Luba Mason for a one night only concert, as part of their celebrated Voices from the Great Whit Way Series. This one night only concert took place on Monday, August 25th @ 7pm. The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located at 407 West 42nd St. (@ 9th Ave), in the heart of New York's theatre district.

Andrea McArdle is currently finishing up her run of 'You Don't Know Me' at The Metropolitan Room. The concert marks her debut at the Nightlife and Bistro Award-winning cabaret venue. Remaining performances are Aug. 24 at 7 PM and Aug. 25 at 7:30 PM.

On Monday, August 4, 2008 the Friars Club presented DIVA NIGHT! in the Frank Sinatra Dining Room at the Friars Club. The evening was Hosted & Produced by Randie Levine-Miller and starred Christine Andreas, Anna Bergman, Beth Fowler, Alice Frazier, Liz McCartney, Rena Strober, Christianne Tisdale, Deborah Tranelli. Paul Chamlin served as Musical Director for the evening. The theater and cabaret stars performed songs from 'The Broadway Songbook'.

'Broadway Stands Up for Freedom', a concert to benefit the Youth Programs of the NYCLU, took place on Monday, July 21 at 7:30pm at the NYU Skirball Center. Hosted by Seth Rudetsky, the event featured opening remarks by playwright Tony Kushner, both of whom also participated in last years event.

On June 8th, 2008 Paper Mill Playhouse opened its mainstage production of Little Shop of Horrors, a musical written by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman. The musical is based on Roger Corman's 1960 sci-fi comedy and includes several show-stopping numbers including 'Skid Row (Downtown),' 'Somewhere That's Green,' and 'Suddenly Seymour,' as well as the title song. Little Shop of Horrors will run at the Millburn theatre from June 4 through July 6, 2008.
