MCC Theater will soon present the World Premiere of Nollywood Dreams by Jocelyn Bioh (MCC Theater's Burnt Umber Playwright-In-Residence) with direction by Saheem Ali. The cast will feature Charlie Hudson, III (A Raisin in the Sun), Outer Critics Circle and Lortel Award nominee Nana Mensah (Man From Nebraska), Sandra Okuboyejo (Hamilton, Chicago), Ade Otukoya ('Shades of Blue'), Emana Rachelle ('Insecure'), and Abena Mensah-Bonsu.

Rehearsals are underway for the Broadway revival of David Mamet's American Buffalo, which begins previews on March 24, 2020 with an official opening on April 14, 2020 at the Circle in the Square Theatre (235 W 50th Street). This is a 16-week limited engagement through July 12, 2020.

Directed by Matthew Dunster, Martin McDonagh's Hangmen is currently in rehearsals, ready to begin performances on Friday, February 28, 2020, and officially open on Thursday, March 19, 2020, at Broadway's Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street).

Cambodian Rock Band began performances on February 4 and opened just last night, February 24 on the Irene Diamond Stage at the Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street). The production is a limited engagement through March 15, 2020.

To celebrate the upcoming revival of David Mamet's AMERICAN BUFFALO, directed by Neil Pepe, Nickel the Buffalo, a 9' x 5', 90 lb. life-size buffalo, took residence at the Circle in the Square today. Nicknamed Nickel, after the rare American Buffalo Nickel that sets the plot of the play in motion, the buffalo will greet patrons and ticket buyers in the theater's lobby during all box office hours and performances. Performances for Steppenwolf's production of The Minutes by Tracy Letts, directed by Anna D. Shapiro, begin Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at the Cort Theatre (138 W 48th St) on Broadway, and officially opens on Sunday, March 15, 2020. This is a 16-week limited engagement through Sunday, June 14, 2020.

Anatomy of a Suicide began performances on February 1 and opened on Tuesday, February 18 at Atlantic Theater Company's Linda Gross Theater (336 West 20th Street). Manhattan Concert Productions presents a 50th Anniversary Celebration of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at David Geffen Hall, Lincoln Center on February 17, 2020 at 8:00 pm. Lincoln Center Theater's upcoming production of the new musical Flying Over Sunset is officially in rehearsals! The musical, with a book and direction by James Lapine, music by Tom Kitt, and lyrics by Michael Korie, featuring choreography by Michelle Dorrance, will begin previews Thursday, March 12, and open on Thursday, April 16 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street).

Drift, a new American drama written by William Francis Hoffman, will have its World Premiere off-Broadway at New World Stages, Stage 5 (340 West 50th Street), in a production directed by Academy Award winner Bobby Moresco and starring Emmy Award winner Joe Pantoliano ('The Sopranos,' Bad Boys For Life in movie theaters now). The limited engagement will begin performances on Thursday, February 27, with an official Opening Night set for Monday, March 16.

Roundabout Theatre Company's just celebrated opening night of Darling Grenadine at the Black Box Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre! The new musical features book, music & lyrics by Daniel Zaitchik, and is directed & choreographed by Michael Berresse. The Darling Grenadine cast includes Matt Dallal as 'Man,' Jay Armstrong Johnson as 'Paul,' Adam Kantor as 'Harry,' Aury Krebs as 'Woman,' Mike Nappi as 'The Street Musician,' and Emily Walton as 'Louise.'

Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, just celebrated its 2020 TCG Gala: Our Stories, last night, February 3, 2020, at The Edison Ballroom. The Gala honored North Carolina Black Repertory Company's National Black Theatre Festival, based in Winston-Salem; playwright David Henry Hwang; and TCG's arts advocacy at the federal level. The evening included performances from A Strange Loop and Soft Power, and feature Billy Bustamante, James Jackson, Jr., and Alyse Alan Louis.

Rehearsals are now underway for Transport Group's The Unsinkable Molly Brown, which begins performances on Saturday, February 8 at 22 at Abrons Arts Center. The show stars Tony Award nominee Beth Malone (Fun Home) as Molly Brown, David Aron Damane (The Book of Mormon, Big River, The Life) as JJ, Whitney Bashor (The Bridges of Madison County) as Julia, Omar Lopez-Cepero (On Your Feet!) as Vincenzo, Alex Gibson (SpongeBob SquarePants; Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812) as Erich, and Paolo Montalban (Pacific Overtures, The King and I) as Arthur. Rounding out the cast are Kaitlyn Davidson; Tyrone Davis, Jr.; Gregg Goodbrod; Michael Halling; Karl Josef Ko; Nikka Graff Lanzarone; Kate Marilley; Shina Ann Morris; Keven Quillon; and Coco Smith.

Second Stage Theater will soon present WE'RE GONNA DIE, a show performed by Janelle McDermoth (A Bronx Tale), will be part of the company's current 41st season. WE'RE GONNA DIE is written by Young Jean Lee (Straight White Men) and directed & choreographed by Raja Feather Kelly, featuring original music by Young Jean Lee and Tim Simmonds, additional music by John-Michael Lyles, and lyrics by Young Jean Lee. Music supervision and arrangements are by Remy Kurs with orchestrations by Cian McCarthy.

The music of Bob Dylan is coming to Broadway this February with Girl from the North Country. The new muscial begins performances on Friday, February 7 at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street) with the opening night set for Thursday, March 5.
