Agora Art Studios Presents 'Silent Spaces' by Boyette & Caceres-Vargas
By: Christina Mancuso Jun. 27, 2014
Agora Art Studios is pleased to announce the first photography exhibit featuring Chesapeake artist Robert Boyette and Peruvian photographer, Jose Caceres-Vargas.
Both artists were invited by Agora Art Studios to display their artwork due to the perfect contrast they represent, but at the same time linked by the nostalgia and perspective of their lens: Boyette is synonym of experience; Caceres-Vargas is hosting his first exhibition. Boyette's work is colorful; Caceres-Vargas works mainly in black and white. Boyette is a local artist; Caceres-Vargas was born and raised in Peru, currently residing in Texas. Boyette's long love affair with creating art begins as a youngster, sitting on his grandmother's front porch sketching hot rod cars. Later, he earned a degree in Architectural Design. His adult journey into the realm of artistic photography began in the early 70's at Sandbridge Beach with a borrowed camera. Soon after, while serving a tour of duty in the Air Force, he purchased his first 35 mm camera. Through the years, his photography has been displayed in many venues, including numerous outdoor shows, both in Hampton Roads and across Virginia. Robert Boyette resides with his family in Chesapeake.Videos
