Now Playing Onstage in St. Louis - Week of 3/23/2014 MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET
Sangamon Auditorium
3/25-3/25/2014
Million Dollar Quartet is the electrifying new musical inspired by the famed recording session that brought together rock 'n' roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis for the first and only time. On December 4, 1956, these four young musicians gathered at Sun Records in Memphis for what would be one of the greatest jam sessions ever. Million Dollar Quartet brings that legendary night to life, featuring a score of rock hits that includes "Blue Suede Shoes," "Fever," "That's All Right," "Sixteen Tons," "Great Balls of Fire," "Walk the Line," "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On," "Who Do You Love?," "Real Wild Child," "Folsom Prison Blues" and "Hound Dog." This thrilling musical captures the singular moment when four major talents came together to become a red-hot rock i¿½n' roll band. Don't miss your chance to be a fly on the wall of fame... at Million Dollar Quartet.

New Line Theatre
3/6-3/29/2014
New Line continues its 23rd season with Jonathan Larson's Pulitzer Prize winning, long-running rock opera RENT. Set in New York City's East Village, it's best described in Larson's own words: "In these dangerous times, where it seems the world is ripping apart at the seams, we can all learn how to survive from those who stare death squarely in the face every day and we should reach out to each other and bond as a community, rather than hide from the terrors of life at the end of the millennium."

Now Playing Onstage in St. Louis - Week of 3/23/2014 OKLAHOMA!
Strafford High School
3/27-3/29/2014
Rodgers & Hammerstein's first collaboration remains, in many ways, their most innovative, having set the standards and established the rules of musical theatre still being followed today. Set in a Western Indian territory just after the turn of the century, the high-spirited rivalry between the local farmers and cowboys provides the colorful background against which Curly, a handsome cowboy, and Laurey, a winsome farm girl, play out their love story. Although the road to true love never runs smooth, with these two headstrong romantics holding the reins, love's journey is as bumpy as a surrey ride down a country road. That they will succeed in making a new life together we have no doubt, and that this new life will begin in a brand-new state provides the ultimate climax to the triumphant OKLAHOMA!Music by Rodgers, Richard; Book by Oscar Hammerstein II; Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II; Original Dances by Agnes de Mille; Based on the play `Green Grow the Lilacs` by Lynn Riggs
