BIO

Cathy Rigby began her stage career in 1974 when she was cast in the title role of Peter Pan in a theater-in-the-round production. In the mid-1970s, she appeared in television commercials for Stayfree and began an 18-year tenure as a commentator for ABC Sports. In 1976, she guest-starred on The Six Million Dollar Man. In 1981, she starred as Dorothy in a production of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and also appeared in stage productions of Annie Get Your Gun and Meet Me in St. Louis.


Rigby returned to Peter Pan on Broadway in 1990 and subsequently toured with the production. She reprised the role again from 1998 to 1999. From 2002 to 2003, she starred as the Cat in the Hat in the touring production of Seussical. She toured again as Peter Pan from 2004 to 2005, and later performed the role in 2008 at the Benedum Center in Pittsburgh and in 2009 at the Mansion Theater in Branson, Missouri.

In 2011, Rigby launched another Peter Pan tour, which ran through 2013. In 2012, she appeared in the film An American Girl: McKenna Shoots for the Stars. In 2015, she reprised the role of Peter Pan for a limited engagement at the Pacific National Exhibition in Vancouver.
