Josh Ritter, an Idaho-born singer-songwriter has been called one of the "10 Most Exciting Artists Now" by Entertainment Weekly and one of the "100 Best Living Songwriters" by Paste Magazine. The New York Times praises: "Josh Ritter has a way with metaphor. It's one of the literary touches in his music that have established him among the cream of the young singer-songwriter crop." His sixth studio album, The Beast In It's Tracks, was released in March to critical acclaim with NPR Music calling it "gorgeous and glorious." In 2011, Ritter made his debut as a published author with his New York Times best-selling novel, Bright's Passage.

Classically trained on piano and an avid guitarist, John loves the craft and enjoys every audience he encounters. Some of John Ford Coley's hits: 'Love is the Answer,' 'Gone Too Far,' 'I'd Really Love to See You Tonight,' and 'Come Back To Me.' John lives in the Nashville area with his family, where he's penned a book on his years in the music industry entitled 'Backstage Pass,' and is writing another book about his spiritual journey back from another religion to Christianity.

The universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness.The show features a star turn in Tevye, among the most memorable roles in musical theatre. At the cutting edge of acoustic and traditional music, Annalivia fuses old and new world sounds to create an authentic new sound, both steeped in tradition and alive with new energy, innovation, and originality. The members of Annalivia - Liz Simmons, Flynn Cohen, and newest member Bronwyn Keith-Hynes - are all virtuosic on their instruments and have long histories with traditional music, ranging from bluegrass to Irish, Scottish, Norwegian, and Old Time Appalachian music. These styles play a large role in the interpretations of their material which include inventive, quirky fiddle tunes, and lushly arranged songs. Their unique style has a distinctly American flavor, yet with the detail, precision, and energy of their bluegrass and Celtic backgrounds. Moliere's brilliant comedy about religious hypocrisy, Tartuffe, comes to PSU's stage in a version adapted by director John Briggs. How far will one man go to ensure his salvation? Everyone can see that the title character, pretending to be pious and moral, is a fake-everyone except Orgon who is about to give the false cleric everything he owns. Will he be duped? Will his family be ruined? Of course not, it's a comedy. Everything will work out for Orgon and Tartuffe will suffer the consequences for his misdeeds. How that happens is half the fun of this witty, rambunctious and sexy comedy.

This years Drawn to the Music concert features powerful, live performance from the Philharmonic, in collaboration with a variety of local artists. We take a musical tour of the Eternal City - in music by Respighi that is by turns charming, contemplative, and ultimately glorious. A stirring work by Mahler is featured in a unique photo-choreographed performance, featuring illustrations by the schoolchildren of New Hampshire. The two winners of our youth concerto competition perform powerful music of Brahms. The concert opens with an iconic overture by the incomparable Beethoven. The full orchestra of the New Hampshire Philharmonic performs, Mark Latham conducts. With UNH musicians, Drawn to the Music artists, and youth concerto competition winners Paul Bergeron and Jerry Xiong.
