Films Series Presents One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest Plus Beer-Tasting
Victoria Theatre Association and the Heidelberg Distributing Company present the 2011 Michelob Ultra Cool Films Series showing of Milos Forman's One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, July 22-24, 2011 at the historic Victoria Theatre. Arrive early and partake in the Second Annual Cool Films Series Beer-Tasting, beginning at 6:30pm.
Ranked #33 on American Film Institute's 100 Years ...100 Movies 10th Anniversary List, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975) stars Jack Nicholson, Louise Fletcher and Danny DeVito. Nicholson plays a rebellious patient in a mental institution who tries to rally his fellow patients to overthrow the oppressive and dictator-like Nurse Ratched (Fletcher) who runs the asylum.
A dramatic look at what goes on behind closed doors at a mental institution, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest hit a "grand slam" at the 1976 Academy® Awards Ceremony, sweeping the awards with five awards including: Best Actor in a Leading Role (Nicolson); Best Actress in a Leading Role (Fletcher); Best Director (Milos Forman); Best Picture; and, Best Adapted Screenplay.

Films are shown at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 3 p.m. on Sundays in the air-conditioned comfort of the Victoria Theatre. Recreating the feel of the old-time movie palaces, guests may enjoy free popcorn and soda in the lobby beginning one hour prior to showtime, a Mighty Wurlitzer organ concert beginning 30 minutes prior to showtime, and a classic cartoon just before the movie.
