Wendy Williams Gets Real About Her Health
Friday, Dr. Oz is joined by tell-it-like-it-is talk show host Wendy Williams. The two take a closer look at Wendy's life as a media personality. With her turning 50 this summer, Dr. Oz and Wendy discuss three tests every woman should have done at age 50. During a demonstration of a breast examination with an implant and a natural breast, Wendy gets choked up on Dr. Oz, when she learns the reality that a mass in a natural breast is much easier to detect. Then, Wendy shows off her love of wigs in a game of "Who's Wearing That Wig?"
On turning 50 in July, Williams comments: "I grew up during a time where a lady is not supposed to reveal her age or her weight, but I'm from Jersey and we always say it like we mean it. I am 175lbs and I'm 49 years old and I can't wait to be 50. I'm not nervous at all because I respect my body in terms of putting the right things into it and I also understand that no matter how you look on the outside, the insides are always going to be the true age: 50. I know that I will need a colonoscopy because my maternal grandmother passed away of colon cancer right after she named me."
