LATE LATE SHOW Host Frontrunner James Corden - A Career Retrospective!The Wrap reported yesterday that James Corden, who won a Tony Award for his performance in Broadway's 'One Man, Two Guvnors,' is the frontrunner to take over hosting duties for CBS's Craig Ferguson on THE LATE LATE SHOW. Ferguson, who has served as host of the Late Late Show since 2005, announced this spring that he would soon be exiting the show.

Corden will soon be seen in Disney's highly anticipated big screen adaptation of 'Into the Woods' as 'The Baker', and recently starred opposite Keira Knightley in 'Begin Again.' His theatre work includes One Man, Two Guvnors (National Theatre) and The History Boys (National Theatre, Broadway and international tour), the West End's Martin Guerre in 1996 and Love Life at London Fringe in 1991. On TV he has appeared in The Brit Awards, A League of Their Own, and Gavin and Stacey (co-creator and co-writer), which won the BAFTA Award for Television Programme of the Year and British Comedy Award for Best New Scripted Comedy. Corden has also won the Writers Guild of Great Britain Award for Comedy Writer of the Year, South Bank Show Award for Comedy, Tric Award for Best Comedy and the National Television Award 2010 for Best Comedy.

The Weinstein Company's inspiring biopic ONE CHANCE chronicles British tenor Paul Potts' rise to stardom via the television program Britain's Got Talent in 2007. Directed by David Frankel (The Devil Wears Prada), the film starred Corden in the lead role.


THE WRONG MANS, which launched on Hulu on in November of 2013 was co-written and co-starred Corden and Mathew Baynton. The show centers on Sam (Baynton), and Phil (Corden), two lowly office workers who become caught up in a deadly criminal conspiracy after Sam discovers a ringing phone at the scene of a horrific car crash. Answering this phone turns his world upside down, as he and Phil soon realize it's up to them to step up and save the day. They are in the wrong place at the wrong time, with the wrong skills. The latest film from writer-director John Carney (ONCE), BEGIN AGAIN is a soul-stirring comedy about what happens when lost souls meet and make beautiful music together. The film stars Keira Knightley, real-life pop stars Adam Levine and CeeLo Green, Mark Ruffalo and Corden. Check out the trailer:


On a recent episode of the UK's The Graham Norton Show, guests Paul McCartney, Katy Perry and Corden wrote hilarious song lyrics based on audience member's unusual names. Check out the clip below:

Corden appeared in The 11th season of BBC's Doctor Who in an episode titled 'Closing Time'.

Corden was the recipient of the 2012 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play for ONE MAN TWO GUVNORS. Check out his acceptance speech below:
