Idina Menzel Congratulates FROZEN Songwriters On 'Let It Go' Platinum StatusTony Award-winning Broadway headliner and popular vocalist Idina Menzel shared her enthusiasm with the songwriters behind the breakout hit from Disney's animated movie musical smash FROZEN earlier this week at the news of the breakout tune from the score, "Let It Go", reaching platinum sales status.

Menzel took to her Twitter account to share the good news with songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, writing, "just found out let it go went platinum! wild ride. so grateful. u wrote an amazing song @lyrikris10 & @lopezbobby".

Earlier this week, it was announced that Menzel would take the stage of the Academy Awards to perform the tremendous tune live, as well, about which Menzel shared via social media, "It's really happening. I'm singing on the Oscars! Surreal. Thank u frozen family and Oscar producers for this incredible opportunity."

Of note, "Let It Go" officially reached platinum sales status on February 12, meaning it has sold 1 million copies to date.

Additionally, the complete FROZEN soundtrack has spent numerous weeks at the top of the Billboard charts, falling to #2 this week for the second time in its run so far.
