Three decades ago, a group of musicians from London rethought the musical institution known as the orchestra and changed many of the unwritten rules applied in most of these musical ensembles. They thus decided to move away from having only one musical director, opening up their repertoire to encompass several centuries and delve deeper into pieces from different perspectives. Since then, The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment drives change and strives to achieve excellence and diversity by means of an in-depth musical exploration, mesmerising both critics and the public.
