The North American Tour of the Tony Award®-winning Best Musical Moulin Rouge! The Musical will welcome Gabrielle McClinton as Satine, Christian Douglas as Christian, Robert Petkoff as Harold Zidler, Sarah Bowden as Nini and Danny Burgos as Santiago beginning Wednesday, September 27 at the Benedum Center in Pittsburgh.  

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust has announced that the first North American tour of Moulin Rouge! The Musical, winner of 10 Tony Awards including Best Musical, will play in Pittsburgh at the Benedum Center. Performances begin Wednesday, September 27 through Sunday, October 8, 2023.

Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer will step into the role of Satine in the North American Tour of Moulin Rouge! The Musical from July 18 through September 24.

Moulin Rouge! is based on the 2001 Baz Luhrmann film of the same name and originally starred Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman. Known for its somber tale and use of modern music in a vintage setting, the story and its elements translated extremely well to the stage while also being different enough to appreciate the stage musical in its own right. The updated music for a 2023 audience, a strong cast and crew, and a tale of desperate, devoted love all make this production Moulin Rouge! excel beyond the surface of the fantasy.

The cast of the musical Moulin Rouge! has a difficult task. The beloved 2001 movie directed by Baz Luhrmann has achieved near-cult status. Its cast included Ewan McGregor, Nicole Kidman, and Jim Broadbent, all at the top of their game. A musical based on a film so iconic has a lot to live up to.

Broadway Dallas has announced its 2023 Gala featuring a full performance of MOULIN ROUGE! THE MUSICAL on Saturday, April 1 at the Music Hall at Fair Park, hosted by Gala Co-Chairs Jolie Humphrey and Gail Plummer with Honorary Co-Chairs Ambassador Kathryn Walt Hall and Craig Hall.

John Cardoza will join the North American Touring company of Moulin Rouge! in the role of Christian beginning Thursday, March 23 at the Music Hall at Fair Park in Dallas, TX. 

Due to unsafe winter weather conditions, today’s (December 23rd ) 1pm matinee performance of MOULIN ROUGE! The Musical has been canceled at the Paramount Theatre.

Individual tickets for Moulin Rouge! The Musical at the Aronoff Center are now on sale. The first North American tour will play in Cincinnati at the Aronoff Center. Performances begin May 17 and run through June 4.

Memorial Hermann Broadway at the Hobby Center has announced tickets for the first North American tour of Moulin Rouge! The Musical will go on sale Friday, November 4 at 10AM. Moulin Rouge! The Musical will play the Hobby Center February 22 – March 12, 2023.

The Costa Mesa premiere of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Moulin Rouge! The Musical will take place at Segerstrom Center for the Arts for a limited three-week engagement November 9 to 27, 2022.
