Jinkx Monsoon appeared on Late Night With Seth Meyers last night to discuss starring on Broadway in Chicago as Matron Mama Morton. Jinkx will play 'Matron 'Mama' Morton' beginning Monday, January 16  in an 8-week limited engagement, becoming the first drag queen to play the role on Broadway. Tonight, Chicago on Broadway celebrated 25 years of Razzle Dazzle on Broadway with a special celebration. 

Chicago will celebrate 25 years on Broadway tomorrow Tuesday, November 16th at 6:30PM with a very special performance. Beginning at 5PM on the TKTS Red Steps in Times Square the Brooklyn United Marching Band will march to 49th Street playing Kander & Ebb music. The Ambassador Theatre will be lit in red with a star-studded red carpet. 

It's all razzle dazzle again at the Ambassador Theatre, where after a hiatus of a year and a half, the longest-running American musical in Broadway history has officially resumed performances. A new Roxie Hart struts the stage at Chicago this time around- Ana Villafañe, who is returning to Broadway for the first time since her breakout portrayal of Gloria Estefan in On Your Feet.

Everything came up roses tonight at the reopening of Chicago on Broadway as the company tossed handfuls of rose petals to celebrate their first curtain call back at the Ambassador! 

At tonight's reopening of Broadway's Chicago, the show's director Walter Bobbie paid tribute to the production's legendary choreographer and original star, Ann Reinking, who passed away in December 2020.
