Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's much-loved story Zog will fly back onto the stage for a major UK and Ireland tour this year, followed by a special summer season at London's Cadogan Hall.

Following its world premiere at The Royal Lyceum Theatre, Executive Producer Jennifer Sutherland and the whole team at Freckle Productions have announced a summer season for the brand-new stage adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's smash-hit 2022 story The Baddies, which premiered at the Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh in October 2024.

The cast of The Other Palace Studio's Christmas show, Homo Alone has been announced! Leading this parody in the role of the one and only Kevin McCallister is Elliott Evans, who wowed audiences last year at the Turbine Theatre as the starring role in the superhero musical Eugenius!

Based on the book by Julia Donaldson with illustrations by Axel Scheffler, this Christmas Stick Man will play at it's new home in the Bloomsbury Theatre from 4 December to 5 January with a press performance on Thursday 5 December at 1pm.

Following on from the highly successful A Very, Very Bad Cinderella last year, Jodie Prenger (Coronation Street, I'd Do Anything), along with Bobby Delaney (Zog and the Flying Doctors; As You Like It), are back writing this year’s The Other Palace Studio Christmas show: Homo Alone! Which will play from 29 November 2024 until 5 January 2025.  

Based on the book by Julia Donaldson with illustrations by Axel Scheffler, this Christmas Stick Man will play simultaneously at  The Lowry Salford 10 December to 5 Jan, and at its new London home, the Bloomsbury Theatre 4 December to 5 Jan.  Tickets for both venues are on sale now.

Ahead of their production of Peter Pan opening next week, Rose Theatre has announced next year’s Christmas production as Robin Hood, written by 2023 Olivier Award winner Chris Bush and directed by Elin Schofield.

The venue has recently reopened following a brief temporary closure, after the discovery of RAAC concrete in the foyer. Based on the book by Julia Donaldson with illustrations by Axel Scheffler, Stick Man will play at Royal & Derngate from 7 – 31 December, with a press performance on Saturday 9 December.
