A fun, nostalgic night at the theatre from start to finish.

There are directors whose names immediately make me start checking my calendar, and then there's Taijee. At this point, I would happily follow Taijee around to any theatre because I know I'm in for an entertaining, thoughtfully crafted evening.

As one can expect with any Christopher Durang play, you can never predict what will happen next in BEYOND THERAPY. Set in a time when therapy was becoming accepted in popular culture, the play is a statement on both the need for good therapy and the perils of bad therapy. The play follows Bruce and Prudence as they search for that special someone with whom they can spend the rest of their lives.

This summer, Arms Wide Open returns live musical theatre to the Mt. Helix Amphitheatre with Tarzan: Beat of the Jungle, running July 17 through August 2, 2026. Directed and choreographed by Christopher Rubio, with musical direction by Terry Hendricks and production management by Yvonne Rubio, the production combines live percussion, dance, and a cast of 71 performers to tell the familiar story of Tarzan through a new artistic lens.
