Following the huge success of her UK Concert Tour, 'An Open Book', actress, author, vlogger and award-winning West End sensation Carrie Hope Fletcher is heading out on a brand-new UK concert tour in 2024. CARRIE HOPE FLETCHER – LOVE LETTERS will play thirteen venues around the country, kicking off on 27 September.

Since its five-track EP was released in 2020, much hype has surrounded new musical British Treason. Spawning concert versions at Cadogan Hall and the Theatre Royal Drury Lane starring West End heavyweights including Hadley Fraser, Rosalie Craig, Carrie Hope Fletcher and Bradley Jaden, Treason’s first fully staged touring production now stops at the Alexandra Palace.

A historic tale of division, religious persecution, and brutality, ending in an ambitious yet fateful plot to bring down both the monarchy and the government, Treason the Musical is set to blow you away with stunning original folk and pop songs. This one-of-a-kind show tells one of the most intriguing tales in Britain’s history as it’s never been seen before.  Open Space Arts, the company formed in 2022 dedicated to combating homophobia and antisemitism through film presentations and live performances, will open ROSENBERG, the second of its two hyper-intimate, “micro-theater” dramatic productions to be staged in fall 2023.

All performances of Treason due to take place at The Orchard Theatre, Dartford, from the 21st – 25th November have been cancelled. The world premiere tour of Treason will now be seeing out its final performances at the London Palladium, performing for two nights on the 21 and 22 November.

According to Deadline, the Live Aid musical, titled Just for One Day will premiere at the Old Vic Theatre in early 2024. Legendary Rock singer Bob Geldof, who organized the original concerts, will collaborate on the musical, which is devised and directed by Luke Sheppard. Lily Wolff directs with gorgeous brushstrokes. Smooth, creative changes of pace come with gradual shifts in the lighting and sound designs, revealing Mary’s interiority and explaining her history. Leeanne Hutchinson’s First Lady is a complex, hurt mother who can’t seem to overcome the pain in her life. She’s matched in performance by Christopher Kelly, who plays Brady as well as a collection of his peculiar subjects. There’s a tense chemistry between them. The minimalism of the visuals engages the imagination of the audience, putting the actors on a blank canvas.

There’s loads of theatre at the Fringe. Some is excellent, some is average, some is… questionable. Polish company Song of the Goat present a retelling of Shakeseare’s Titus Andronicus in what could simply be described as a gothic, choral, impenetrable behemoth of a production. It’s transfixing for all the wrong reasons.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera will open for the first time in Italy at Teatro Stabile del Friuli Venezia Giulia in Trieste on 4th July 2023.
