In Washington Ensemble Theatre’s Blood/Sucker, there’s something lurking in the shadows of the public high school, something that wants to suck the life out of all who roam the halls, teachers and students alike. Is it gun violence? Internet trolls? Bullying? Racism? Transphobia? Food insecurity? Academic inequity? Just being a person in America? Or perhaps, on top of all of that, something much spookier? Well, it's all of it.

RUMORS at Woodminster Summer Musicals is full of laughs and gaffs, and is a jolly good time. Set in a posh New York townhouse, RUMORS is Neil Simon’s only full length farce. From half truths to utter nonsense and mistaken identities to outright charades, this production will ensnare you in a stream of rumors and then lead you back to the truth.

The play is presented in two acts. In Act 1, the scene is established: an elderly, wealthy woman (A) meets with a young lawyer (C) who has been sent to get A's affairs in order. Woman B, a nurse, gently cares for Woman A through moments of senility and vulnerability. C remains unimpressed and uninspired. Act 2 enters a more surreal and dreamlike space where the three women become one and the same in various periods of A's life.
