Broadway's Elaine Bunse-Bullens passed away on Monday, August 8th, 2022 at Heritage Lakeside Rehab facility in Rice Lake, WI.

Starring role, Tony– and Emmy–nominated actor Jeremy Pope, The Inspection is a knockout drama based on his own experiences as a gay man in Marine Corps basic training following a decade of living on the streets. The film also stars Raúl Castillo, Bokeem Woodbine, and Gabrielle Union.

On Monday, October 3, 2022 the multiple Grammy award-winning conductor, JoAnn Falletta, will conduct the Buffalo Philharmonic in their return to Carnegie Hall for a tribute to Lukas Foss, in honor of his 100th birthday (August 15, 1922 – Feb 1, 2009). Presented by Trinity Wall Street and Opus 3 Artists, the 7pm concert is a gift to New York City with free admission. 

The New Wolsey Theatre Ipswich has today announced the full cast and creative team for this year's Rock 'n' Roll panto Goldilocks and the Three Bears, which will run from Thursday 24 November 2022 – Saturday 28 January 2023 and will be livestreamed simultaneously from Thursday 15 December 2022 – Monday 2 January 2023.

The creative team has been finalized and  tickets are now on sale for the world premiere musical How to Dance in Ohio. The musical is scheduled as the 2022-23 season opener at Syracuse Stage this fall, and will run Sept. 21 – Oct. 9, 2022.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the complete cast for the world premiere of You Will Get Sick, a new play by Noah Diaz directed by Tony Award nominee Sam Pinkleton. The cast includes Marinda Anderson, Daniel K. Isaac, Linda Lavin, Nate Miller, and Dario Ladani Sanchez all of whom are making their Roundabout Theatre Company debuts.

We may have underestimated Cheri and Bill Steinkellner's musical adaptation of Paul Rudnick's SISTER ACT screenplay, moving the action from Vegas to Philly and making the show more character-driven. It actually works better on the smaller community theater stage at Matthews Playhouse than the big stage productions we've previously seen.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre announced the full cast and creative team for the world premiere musical, Goddess. The musical stage production is conceived and directed by Saheem Ali, music and lyrics by Michael Thurber, and written by Jocelyn Bioh. Previews begin Saturday, August 13, and the show runs through Sunday, September 25.

Jake La Botz shares a single off his upcoming album Hair On Fire, “Hope TheSunshine”, along with an accompanying music video directed by Joe D'Augustine. “Hope The Sunshine” follows the previous single and title track, “Hair On Fire.” La Botz recently signed with Mongrel Music for North American booking, and announced tour dates for this Summer.

Bernard Shaw's brilliant dark comedy The Doctor's Dilemma, the first of the final trio of main season shows, begins previews July 16 at the Festival Theatre. On July 27, Cicely Hamilton's funny and prophetic Just to Get Married begins previews at the Royal George Theatre, while August Wilson's haunting Gem of the Ocean begins previews on August 5 at the Jackie Maxwell Studio Theatre. 

William Shakespeare's joyous and popular comedy Much Ado About Nothing will open at Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, the professional theatre on the campus of DeSales University. The show previews July 13 and 14, opens July 15, and runs through August 7 in the Schubert Theatre at the Labuda Center for the Performing Arts.

The Asian Film Festival of Dallas (AFFD) announced the film lineup for this year’s 21st edition of the film festival. AFFD’s Opening Night selection is Wenxiong Xing’s Too Cool to Kill, the Closing Night selection is Roshan Sethi’s 7 Days, Spotlight screenings include Park Hoon-Jung’s The Witch 2: The Other One, and Shô Miyake’s Small, Slow but Steady.

The Andes Dance Collective, founded by dancer/choreographers Gloria McLean, Columbine Macher, David Capps and composer/performer Marshall Coid, presents the DELAWARE COUNTY 2ND DANCE FILM FESTIVAL AND WORKSHOP, bringing new dance and music events to the Catskills Delaware County region.  This year, in two 4-day weekends, July 21-24 and August 4-7, the Festival will include two live dance/music performances (premieres), film screenings, and dance workshops.
