Beginning with a world-premiere musical in summer 2022, the upcoming season features two new Power Plays, a classic romantic comedy, a timely new drama, a quirky cult musical and a landmark work of the American theater.

Surrey audiences can look forward to the welcome return of Guildford Fringe Festival from Friday 24 June until Saturday 16 July 2022, with a packed programme of more than 100 live performance and arts events now on sale.

Central Florida Community Arts announces the return of the Community Choir for another season with one of its biggest shows: Night on the Red Carpet II: Back to Broadway. This experience marks the culmination of the first full choir season under the helm of Brandon Fender. It will include all the spectacles expected of a CFCArts choir concert, with the adult Community Choir, Dance Company, and Symphony Orchestra joining forces on stage.

The San Francisco–based Kronos Quartet/Kronos Performing Arts Association (KPAA) and SFJAZZ are pleased to present the Bay Area premiere of At War With Ourselves - 400 Years of You, an evening-length song cycle exploring race relations and movements for social justice, civil rights, and resistance. At War With Ourselves will have two San Francisco performances at SFJAZZ Center, May 7-8, 2022. 

The Bard Music Festival returns for its 32nd season this August, with an intensive two-week exploration of “Rachmaninoff and His World.” In twelve themed concert programs, Bard examines Sergei Rachmaninoff (1873–1943), perhaps the last great exponent of Russian Romanticism, who nevertheless embodied many contradictions.

Jordan Donica, who made his Broadway debut in PHANTOM playing 'Raoul,' will return to the role beginning Sunday, May 29 for a limited engagement.  Maree Johnson will return to the Broadway cast as 'Madame Giry' on Monday, May 16 and more.

Yale Repertory Theatre will conclude its 2022 season with Between Two Knees. The play, written by the intertribal sketch comedy troupe The 1491s and directed by Eric Ting, is presented with Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Between Two Knees will be performed May 12–June 4 at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street).

Johnathan Lee Iverson brings his commanding presence and noteworthy professional vocals to his new solo cabaret - The Last Ringmaster: A Musical Journey from Choirboy to the Big Top - in The Winter Park Playhouse Spotlight Cabaret Series, May 18 and 19, 2022. Playhouse Musical Director Christopher Leavy will accompany on piano. 

The Wilbury Theatre Group has announced the second season of God Talks to An Agnostic – a twelve-part audio drama written, directed and featuring Don Mays, and produced in collaboration with AFRI Productions, The Public's Radio, and Brown Arts Institute.

The English National Opera (ENO) presents a unique concert of Joseph Haydn's Seven Last Words on the Cross, and Joel Thompson's Seven Last Words of the Unarmed. This is the first time these two pieces have been performed together live in the UK.

Tarell Alvin McCraney's CHOIR BOY, playing at Yale Repertory Theatre through April 23, is directed by the prodigiously talented Christopher D. Betts; Betts has created a terrific production, for the most part, with outstanding acting, singing, and scenic, lighting, and costume design. The play itself has some predictable elements, but for the most part Betts' interpretation makes for a thought-provoking and moving experience.

The new season includes an assortment of iconic superstars, innovative tribute shows, dance, jazz, comedy, plus a robust music, holiday and variety lineup, one of the best Broadway seasons in years and more than two dozen shows making their McCallum debuts.
