Playhouse on the Square has announced the theatre’s 4th Annual Play Slam! Competition High School division winner, MJ Learned, was recently named runner-up of the American Alliance for Theatre & Education Playwrights for Change National Competition. 

The countdown to the Tony Awards has a officially begun! On June 12, the brightest stars of the 2021-22 season will shine even brighter as they gather at the iconic Radio City Music Hall to celebrate Broadway's biggest night. Lantern Theater Company will conclude its 2021/22 Mainstage Season of live performances with the Philadelphia premiere of Fabulation, or The Re-Education of Undine by two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage. Making her Lantern directorial debut, Amina Robinson helms a cast of Philadelphia actors in a true ensemble production, with eight actors playing nearly 30 roles.

Manhattan Theatre Club will present its annual Spring Gala on Monday, May 23 at Cipriani 42nd Street (110 East 42nd Street) honoring Bobbie Olsen, a former member of Manhattan Theatre Club's Board of Directors.

FEINSTEIN’S/54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club, will present The Oldenburg Suite in concert on April 13th, 2022, back by popular demand. The New York Musical Festival award-winning musical, book & lyrics by James Feinberg and music by Matthew Dylan Rose, will star new and returning performers alike.

The new musical MJ will release a new block of tickets for performances from September 6 through December 30, 2022 next Wednesday, March 30 at 10:00 AM. Directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Christopher Wheeldon, MJ, inspired by the life and art of Michael Jackson, is on Broadway playing at the Neil Simon Theatre.

Today, electronic project ANIMALWEAPON (Real name Patrick Cortes) is proud to release 'Set Of Constraints' from his upcoming album of the same name. Two solo works by members of the Echo Theater Company are set for performances under the collective title Alone Together: Solos at the Echo. Conceived, written and performed by Ann Noble, Little Parts Hunts a Baby-Daddy will run Tuesdays at 8 p.m., March 15 through April 5. Created and performed by Sky Paley, Antiman can be seen every Sunday at 7:30 p.m., March 20 through April 10.

Black Ensemble Theater’s Founder and CEO Jackie Taylor kicks off the 2022 Season of Excellence: The Season of Healings with the world premiere of Jackie Taylor’s It’s Just Like Coming to Church (Welcome to The Church of YOU). The production runs March 12-April 24, 2022. The opening is Sunday, March 20 at 3:00pm.
