The Henry Hewes Design Awards Committee announced today that it has chosen six artists to be honored in the areas of scenic design, costume design, lighting design, sound design, media design, and puppetry.

Immersive Everywhere have announced a final extension for London's longest running immersive theatrical production THE GREAT GATSBY. Adapted and directed by Alexander Wright, THE GREAT GATSBY will play at Gatsby's Mansion within Immersive|LDN in Mayfair until 7 January 2023, which will be its final season in London.

19 Broadway shows will be participating in the 2022 fall season of Broadway Bridges. Broadway Bridges is The Broadway League’s initiative that seeks to offer every New York City public high school student the opportunity to experience a Broadway show before graduation.

The Clive & Valerie Barnes Foundation has announced the date for the 12th Annual Clive Barnes Awards. Hosted by New York 1's Frank DiLella, the presentation of the awards recognizing excellence in theater and dance will take place on Sunday, September 18th, 2022 at 3pm at the Westbeth Studio.

Ten explorers, four boats, and one mission: to map the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. In 1869, Major John Wesley Powell and his crew set off on an adventure, and now in 2022, you can see it onstage at Men on Boats by Jaclyn Backhaus at The Contemporary Theater Company in Wakefield from August 12 – September 10.

Weightless will play a limited engagement from September 17–October 16, 2022 at WP Theater, with support from piece by piece productions. The off-Broadway stage premiere of this soaring and dynamic indie rock musical follows the smash success of Weightless on screen, which was reconceived for film and live-streamed by WP in a limited run in 2021.

Madonna stopped by MJ the Musical this week, and went backstage to pose with members of the cast following the performance. The pop icon commented that Tony winner Myles Frost, who plays the title role, made her cry. Check out the photo from backstage.

On September 2nd,  TheatreWorks New Milford will present the heart-warming comedy, Morning's At Seven by Paul Osborn.
