Cast Announced for World Premiere of HURRICANE DAMAGE

Casting is complete for HURRICANE DAMAGE, a world-premiere dramedy by the New York-based playwright Kevin Brofsky that will be the fourth entry in Pride Films and Plays' five-show PAC Pride Fest. HURRICANE DAMAGE, opening on August 3 after previews on August 1 and 2, concerns two long-time partners, veterans of the 1970's gay scene in New York, living on Florida's Gulf Coast. Dennis and Oscar are visited by an old friend of those days, a photographer named Norman who has remained single and brings back bittersweet memories of their glory days in Manhattan.  The couple will be played by company member Charles A. 70 South Gallery To Host The Work Of Acclaimed Street Photographer Vivian Maier

Vivian Maier is one of the most celebrated street artists of the 20th century. And starting June 19th, visitors to the 70th South Print and Gallery will get to see her work in a special exhibit called "Vivian Maier: Through Her Lens." The gallery joins premier galleries from around the world that have hosted the work of Vivian Maier, in what is a collection that perhaps she never imagined anyone would actually view.  Maier had amassed more than 100,00 negatives of images she captured on the streets of New York City and Chicago, and it wasn't until after she passed that the images she tucked away in an old storage unit were found.  The reception for the New Jersey exhibit debut of her photographs will be held at 70 South Gallery on June 19, 2018, at 6:30 pm. Auditorium Theatre to Undergo Leadership Change

Miami City Ballet today announced the appointment of Tania Castroverde Moskalenko as the ballet company's new Executive Director. The appointment was made after an extensive, six-month international search. Castroverde Moskalenko, who returns to the city where she immigrated with her family 30 years ago as a political refugee from Cuba, will assume the leadership role alongside City Ballet Artistic Director Lourdes Lopez on August 7, 2018.
