Fall/Winter Exhibits for State Theatre Butz Gallery Announced

The State Theatre announces it's 2010 Fall/Winter Exhibits for the Alvin H. Butz Gallery, 5th & Northampton Streets, Easton: Marya: FABRICations, Elaine Zelker's Hands-Some Journey Project, and the ACE Group Show: Small Works.
MARYA: FABRICations September 23 - November 12 Opening reception Thurs, Sept 23, 6 PM - 8 PMMarya, a performance artist, annually produces multimedia installations. Her exhibitions include video and live enactments, mosaic and fiber creations at her studio/alternative gallery space, THE MUSEUM OF ETHNOGRAPHY, located at 22 South Third Street, 2nd floor Easton, PA. The Museum is open to the public at no charge; hours are Tuesdays and Fridays 11am-4pm, or by appointment, groups welcome.Marya, a resident of Washington, New Jersey, holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Centenary College, Hackettstown New Jersey and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Vermont College, Montpelier Vermont. Her feminism-based work is overlaid with anthropological references. Free tours of THE MUSEUM OF ETHNOGRAPHY are conducted by Professor Ivana-Marya Clarity, her performance avatar.ELAINE ZELKER: THE HANDS-SOME JOURNEY PROJECT October 10 - December 10.
