Next to Normal is set to be staged this month at Stagebrush Theatre. The production stars Broadway's Stephanie Likes (Les Misérables), and her son, Casey Likes, who recently starred in the new Pre-Broadway run of the newest work by Tom Kitt, Almost Famous the Musical. Stephanie and Casey, both Arizona Natives, play mother and son, Diana and Gabe. Next to Normal marks only the second time the mother-son duo will share the stage.

A video for “She Has Hope” performed by Brian d’Arcy James and composer Tom Kitt. Produced alongside Project ALS, the video is a beautiful tribute to late Broadway star Rebecca Luker, who passed away from ALS. The video features never-before-seen footage of the Tony-nominated actress as well as videos of other women diagnosed with the disease.

Set in the 1950’s, FLYING OVER SUNSET is a work of fiction inspired by the lives of three extraordinary and accomplished people - writer Aldous Huxley (played by Harry Hadden-Paton); playwright, diplomat, and congresswoman, Clare Boothe Luce (Carmen Cusack); and film legend Cary Grant (Tony Yazbeck) - each of whom in real life experimented with the drug LSD.

Rehearsals begin today, Tuesday, October 19, for the return of Lincoln Center Theater’s production of the new musical FLYING OVER SUNSET. Check out all new clips from the show featuring Carmen Cusack, Kanisha Marie Feliciano, Harry Hadden-Paton, Nehal Joshi, Emily Pynenburg, Michele Ragusa, Robert Sella, Laura Shoop, Atticus Ware, and Tony Yazbeck!

The performers were shot and recorded in all 5 Boroughs in locations such as Birdland, the Brooklyn Museum, Columbia University, La Casita de Chema, Maimonides Park, NYU, Open Jar Studios, Red Hook Winery, Russ & Daughters, Steinway & Sons Factory, Tom’s Restaurant, and the Wonder Wheel among many others.

Today we rewind to 2012, for opening night of Bring It On. The show opened on August 1 at the St. James Theatre, where it played for 171 performances. 

Today we rewind to 2014, when If/Then was getting ready to return to Broadway. By the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning creators of Next to Normal (Tom Kitt, Brian Yorkey and Michael Greif) and starring Tony Award-winner Idina Menzel, the musical opened March 30 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, where it played for 401 performances.

Quentin Garzón, Kay Trinidad (Hadestown, The Little Mermaid) and Sam Primack (Dear Evan Hansen) have come together virtually to perform You Don't Know/I Am the One'.

The world premiere musical THE VISITOR was originally scheduled to open at The Public Theater tonight, April 15. In honor of Opening Night, The Public has just released a music video of David Hyde Pierce (Walter), Ari'el Stachel (Tarek), and the cast of THE VISITOR performing the song 'Heart In Your Hands.'
