Rewind to 2008 when the Broadway cast of Rent took BroadwayWorld behind the scenes!

On May 13, the COVID Grief Network is releasing a Seasons of Love video featuring members of the final Broadway cast of RENT, home videos of people that have died of COVID-19 and the young adults left grieving. While the US looks towards re-opening, for the millions who've been mourning in isolation, honoring the lives lost and supporting those left behind is key to addressing the current grief crisis.

Former cast members from various productions of Rent joined forces to perform 'Will I?' as part as Be An #ArtsHero's Labor Day of Action.

Saving Lives Sunday a Virtual Benefit to support emergency first response organization United Hatzalah of Israel in its fight against COVID-19, has released a stunning version of Leonard Cohen's iconic song 'Hallelujah' The song, which debuted during the Sunday, May 3rd event, is performed in English, Hebrew and Arabic.

On last night's episode of 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' the cast of Tony Award-winning Broadway musical 'The Band's Visit' performed a scaled-down version of 'Omar Sharif' with Katrina Lenk.

On this day in 2017, the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, The Band's Visit, opened on Broadway!

Broadway's most sensational onstage and offstage stars, passionate fans, avid collectors and animated bidders celebrated the biggest day for Broadway fans on Sunday, September 30, 2018, as the 32nd Annual Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction raised $906,825 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

On this day, we remember the original, groundbreaking Broadway production of Jonathan Larson's RENT, which played its final performance at the Nederlander Theater on this day in 2008.

Kicking The Today's Show 'Best of Broadway' week, actors Tony Shalhoub and Katrina Lenk get the news live on TODAY that they have been Tony-nominated for the musical 'The Band's Visit,' along with the show itself. Watch the cast perform a song from the production, 'Answer Me.'

As magical as the evening was, after Freddie Gershon gave an impassioned presentation to the duo, Harvey Schmidt and Tom Jones hit the stage and brought the house down at ages 88 and 89 respectively. They joined forces onstage to perform a song from their musical The Bone Room, described by Jones as being about 'the pleasures of dying and being embalmed in this great country of ours.' Below, watch as they perform together for the last time. BWW feels privileged to share with you a bit of highlights of these two legends together before a rapt and ecstatic audience who precded to shower them with a (well deserved) standing ovation... RIP Harvey Schmidt. 

This afternoon at TEDxBroadway, composer David Yazbek took to the stage to perform a number from his current hit Broadway musical, The Band's Visit. Check out the video below to see David put his own spin on 'Haled's Song About Love' for an excited crowd.

This morning, Monday, February 5, 2018 at 10:00am, Second Stage Theater (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director; Casey Reitz, Executive Director) hosted the official lighting ceremony for its new Broadway home, The Hayes Theater (240 West 44th street). Designed by David Rockwell of Rockwell Group, this landmarked, newly renovated venue has become, under Second Stage's ownership, the first Broadway theater dedicated exclusively to living American Playwrights.
