The Broadway production of the critically acclaimed musical THE BAND'S VISIT arrives this fall at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th Street). THE BAND'S VISIT will begin performances on Saturday, October 7, 2017, and officially open on Thursday, November 9, 2017.

On this day, we remember the original, groundbreaking Broadway production of Jonathan Larson's RENT, which played its final performance at the Nederlander Theater on this day in 2008.

Broadway's THE BAND'S VISIT just released a behind-the-scenes teaser of the band performing 'Haj-Butrus.' Check out the song, featuring both improvisation and written music, below!

It will star Danny Burstein as Tevye, Jessica Hecht as Golde, Adam Dannheisser as Lazar Wolf, Adam Kantor as Motel, Alix Korey as Yente,Samantha Massell as Hodel, Melanie Moore as Chava, Ben Rappaport as Perchik, Nick Rehberger as Fyedka, Alexandra Silber as Tzeitel and more. The company met the press earlier today and BroadwayWorld was there for the special presentation. The Skivvies (the undie-rock comedy-pop duo of Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley) just kicked off their monthly residency at 42West with Splashdance- featuring an all-star line up of guest artists from the worlds of Broadway, Television and Film. Virginia's Signature Theatre is currently presenting the world premiere of Diner, the musical adaptation of the landmark film with a book by the movie's Academy Award®-winning screenwriter and director Barry Levinson (Rain Man, Bugsy, The Natural) and an original score by nine-time Grammy Award® winnerSheryl Crow. Directed and choreographed by three-time Tony Award® Winner Kathleen Marshall (Broadway's Anything Goes, Nice Work If You Can Get It), the production begins performances at Signature Theatre's MAX Theatre December 9. It will play for six and a half weeks, through January 25. Crow and Levinson both just took part in Post: POV, a series hosted by Peter Marks, at which the duo discussed putting the new musical together. Check out the full conversation below!
