Childsplay, a renowned theatre company based in Arizona, has announced Anthony Runfola as its new Artistic Director. Runfola, who brings a wealth of experience in theatre arts, will assume his new role starting March 2026.

Bright Star is a Bluegrass/Folk musical written and composed by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell. Its tale is set in the vast landscape of North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains between the years 1945-46, and features flashbacks to the year 1923. The pair produced a Grammy-winning album in 2013 entitled Love Has Come For You, in which the musical is inspired by its lyric-scape and the true story of the Iron Mountain Baby.

Focus Features has set the release date for Lorne, a new behind-the-scenes documentary spotlighting the life of Lorne Michaels, the famed creator of Saturday Night Live. The film will be released in theaters in the U.S. on April 17, 2026.
