An absurdist comedy, Picasso at the Lapin Agile places Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso in a Parisian café in 1904, just before the renowned scientist transformed physics with his theory of relativity and the celebrated painter set the art world afire with Cubism. In his first comedy for the stage, Martin plays fast and loose with fact, fame, and fortune as these two geniuses muse on the century’s achievements and prospects, along with other fanciful topics, with infectious dizziness.
The cast for Picasso at the Lapin Agile includes Rusty Wummel as Gaston, Jeff White as Freddy, Rachel Scherrer as Suzanne, Abby Dorn as Germain, Scott Douglas Wilson as Einstein, Niko Carter as Picasso, Alyssa Ryan as The Countess, Charles Easley as Sagot, Euan Baker as Schmendiman, Grace Emmenegger-Conrad as The Admirer, and Jacob Erney as The Visitor.
