The Park Theatre in Jaffrey announced today their production of the first annual New England Dickens Fest. The festival honors the celebrated British author with five days of holiday concerts, stage plays, movies, contests, craft & food fair, and much more.

The acclaimed documentary series about art and artists, EXHIBITION ON SCREEN, will debut at The Park Theatre in Jaffrey on May 10 with Vermeer: The Greatest Exhibition. The 8-part series will present one new documentary film each month, May through December on the second Wednesday of each month at 1:30pm. They will be screened in the 333-seat Eppes Auditorium with its 27-foot wide screen and 17-speaker surround sound.
Born in Mississippi in 1939, Luther “Guitar Junior” Johnson played with some of the greatest blues artists of all time. Luther notably represented the West Side Chicago style of Blues. He was part of Muddy Waters' band from 1972-1980. He will always be remembered for backing John Lee Hooker in the movie The Blues Brothers. Luther toured around the world, but for the last few decades he has called the Monadnock region his home.
The Park Theatre in Jaffrey has hundreds of posters in its inventory from past movies, concerts, and other events. Now you can have one of these large “one-sheet” posters that measure 40” high by 27” wide in your own home. A new London stage production of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol is starting the holiday month off at The Park Theatre with filmed screenings of the play on December 1 and 4.

The Monadnock 9th Annual Film Festival will present a new film about the staging of the first all-Black production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. The critically acclaimed film drama, Voodoo Macbeth, will screen at The Park Theatre in Jaffrey, NH as part of the MONIFF festival on Friday, October 22 at 7 pm.
Luther has shared stages with many greats, including The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, The Allman Brothers, and Johnny Winter. He also has a cameo in the original “Blues Brothers” movie playing backup for John Lee Hooker.
