The Park Theatre will debut its 10th season of presenting free movies to the Monadnock region on Thursday, July 7th. This year, Disney's acclaimed 2015 film Cinderella, starring Cate Blanchett and Downton Abbey's Lily James as Cinderella, will start the festival.
It was announced today that The Park Theatre is opening an executive office and visitor center in anticipation of the construction period for Southern New Hampshire's newest performing arts center.
It was announced on Monday that Stevens Pell Jackson, Jr. joins The Park Theatre as CEO, Managing Director and employee #1 on February 15, 2016. Board Chair, Caroline Hollister, noted "Steve's coming on board is probably the second most significant event in the life of The Park Theatre -the first being the acquisition of the property itself on exactly the same date a mere ten years ago." Jackson, a resident of Jaffrey since 2012, began assisting the Park Theatre in 2013 directing the board in its development of a branding platform for the Theatre. He comes to the Theatre after a career in advertising/marketing as well as founder of a performing arts and film center in Cape May, New Jersey. An actor himself, e appeared at the Theatre's 2015 Annual Meeting in the staged reading of O'Henry's novella "The Gift" as the young husband. Most recently, he was Director of Marketing for Peterborough Players.
The Peterborough Players signed a major sponsorship agreement for their new "Summer of Stars" Music Festival tent located next to their theatre. Centeur Importers, based in Keene, New Hampshire is the sole sponsor of the music festival for the 2015 season.

Identified as that of David Oluwale, a local homeless man, his death exposed a campaign of systematic police brutality which shook the city of Leeds and led to the imprisonment of 2 police officers accused of his murder. Adapted by Oladipo Agboluaje, from Kester Aspden's award winning book of the same title, this Eclipse Theatre world premiere production will be staged at (venue) on (dates) in the 40th anniversary year of the death of David Oluwale as part of a UK tour.
