Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will begin a new chapter this December as Alicia Graf Mack leads her first season as Artistic Director. The company’s 2025 engagement at New York City Center will feature world premieres, a company premiere by Medhi Walerski, and a new production of Judith Jamison’s A Case of You.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will launch its five-week holiday engagement at New York City Center with an Opening Night Gala on December 3, marking the first season under Artistic Director Alicia Graf Mack.

A powerful new book about social change in the United States is about to debut next month. Voices of a People's History of the United States in the 21st Century: Documents of Hope and Resistance brings twenty-first century social movements to life.

Production has just begun in New York, with Michael Ealy (Barbershop, Takers) joining the cast as a new series regular for season four. Ealy joins the cast as Detective Don Carter, a rising NYPD officer who was on track to become Police Commissioner, until his wife was killed in a crossfire between rival drug gangs.

The drama series - from writer and executive producer Raamla Mohamed, and executive producer and director Kerry Washington - is produced by ABC Signature and streams exclusively on Hulu in the U.S. Mohamed leads an all-Black writing staff on the series. “Reasonable Doubt” stars Emayatzy Corinealdi, McKinley Freeman, and more.

Bob Gunton, a two-time Tony nominee, Drama Desk and Obie winner (Sweeney Todd, Evita, How I Got That Story) will return to the New York area stage after a thirty-year hiatus to star in the acclaimed drama The Soap Myth by Drama Desk winner Jeff Cohen Aug 10-28 at Southampton Cultural Center.

The series stars Robin Thede, Gabrielle Dennis, Ashley Nicole Black and Skye Townsend. The new season will feature more than 40 celebrity guest stars, including Ava DuVernay, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Raven-Symoné, Wanda Sykes, David Alan Grier, Jemele Hill, Kel Mitchell, Michael Ealy, Wayne Brady, Bob the Drag Queen, Vanessa Williams, and more.
