New York-based actress Lisa Bostnar will star in Gus Kaikkonen's new play Ten Minutes, Please, which was selected for its debut at the One Act Festival at the Chain Theatre. Learn more about the production here!

The Park Theatre in Jaffrey announced today their production of the first annual New England Dickens Fest. The festival honors the celebrated British author with five days of holiday concerts, stage plays, movies, contests, craft & food fair, and much more.

The Peterborough Players will round out its three-show Grand Restart with the U.S. Premiere of Where You Are, a new play written by Canadian playwright Kristen Da Silva. Directed by Tom Frey and performed on the new outdoor Elsewhere Stage at the Players, the “dramedy” will run from September 1-12 at 4:30pm.

His work has been nominated for a Tony, an Emmy and a British Academy Award. His more than 35 plays have been seen in theatres around the world.

Valentine’s Day will have a little extra love this year with The Park Theatre producing a live-streamed reading of two powerful and witty one-act plays from acclaimed British playwright Alfred Sutro (1863-1933). Beloved actors Lisa Bostnar and Gus Kaikkonen will read “A Marriage Has Been Arranged” and “The Open Door” live on February 13 at 7pm EST.

The Park Theatre announced today that they are producing another live-streamed event. This time it is a virtual New Year’s Eve Party featuring a who’s who of entertainers from the Monadnock Region and beyond. The show starts live at 7pm EST on December 31.

A timeless story returns to a virtual audience. “It's a Wonderful Life,” the 1946 Frank Capra film starring Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed, has been reimagined by playwright Joe Landry. This beloved American holiday story comes to captivating life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. With a small ensemble bringing to life a myriad of characters to the stage, the story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve. 

Peterborough Players pulls back the curtain on Shakespeare in the next offering of their interactive theatrical workshop series, Playgroup. The two-session workshop will occur online on November 13th and 20th at 7:30pm EST.

The Park Theatre will air its live telethon and auction via Facebook Live and YouTube Live simultaneously this Friday, July 10, starting at 7pm, EDT. The evening will be co-hosted by Steve Jackson (Park Theatre CEO) and actor (tv, film, stage), Lisa Bostnar. The telethon and auction will help fund the final stages of the new performing arts center.

The Peterborough Players rings in the New Year - and new decade! - with an audience favorite, Always...Patsy Cline, created and originally directed by Ted Swindley, from January 16th-26th. This rousing musical, featuring classic Patsy Cline hits, has not been seen on the Players' stage since 2003. Peterborough Players is proud to bring the recent Broadway hit play, A Doll's House, Part 2, to Players audiences from August 28th-September 8th.  The play received 8 nominations for the 2017 Tony Awards, including one for Peterborough Players' alumnus Jayne Houdyshell, and became the most produced play in America in the 2018-2019 season. 

Before Paul Osborn wrote the screenplay for Rodgers and Hammerstein's box office hit South Pacific, he wrote a hysterical, semi-autobiographical Broadway comedy that captures Midwestern eccentricity to hilarious effect. Winner of 4 Tony Awards, Morning's at Seven is a funny and deeply poignant look at the foibles of a close-knit Midwestern family in the 1930s. It opens at the Peterborough Players on July 17th. ?

The Peterborough Players presents the surprising comedy-thriller, Stage Struck by Simon Gray, February 7-17.

 A new independent feature film is about to be made in the beautiful, yet rarely used for feature film production, state of New Hampshire. PARALLEL AMERICA, written by Ernest Thompson, Oscar® & Golden Globe® winner for his screenplay of On Golden Pond,  Ernest will also direct and star in the film.
