W Somerset Maugham's The Constant Wife was written in 1926 and described as ‘a sparkling comedy of ill manners'. This wonderful new version of The Constant Wife is by Laura Wade, the Olivier Award winning writer of Home, I'm Darling,.

Nobody can ignore the fact that Myra is dying, but in the meantime life goes on. There are boilers to be fixed, cats to be fed and the perfect funeral to be planned. As a mother researches burial spots and biodegradable coffins, her family are finally forced to communicate with her, and each other, as they face up to an unpredictable future. Laura Wade's beautifully poised family drama was first performed at the Soho Theatre, London, in 2005.

I have not laughed so much at the theatre in God knows how long.

It's a bold move for the Royal Shakespeare Company to slip in a remake of W Somerset Maugham's 1920s lesser-known comedy about infidelity in amongst more serious offerings like King Lear and Timon of Athens.

New Earth Theatre has announced that it has awarded the 2025 Constellation Creatives Drama Student Bursary to Sunny Chung from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.

It is odd to call a story about a terminal cancer patient likeable, warm, and witty. Chatham Community Players wraps up its 103rd season with a stylish, sharp, and heartfelt comedy: Laura Wade's Olivier Award-winning Home, I'm Darling. This delightfully domestic tale runs from May 2 through May 17 and is directed by Chris Hietikko of Teaneck. 

The opening scene of Kanata Theatre’s presentation of Laura Wade’s Home, I’m Darling introduces us to Judy (Katie Torresan), housewife extraordinaire. Judy, decked out in a frock and frilly apron waits patiently in her checker tiled kitchen for her husband Johnny (Phillip Merriman) to come home, so she can make him a cocktail before serving up a homemade dinner. Great Scott! We’ve landed in some sort of 1950s utopian version of British suburbia. Or have we?

Albion Theatre has announced their 2025 season. Their upcoming season will include plays by Martin Mc Donagh, Laura Wade, and J.B. Priestley.  The season opens with McDonagh’s THE BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE from March 14 – 30, 2025. It continues with a production of Wade’s COLDER THAN HERE from June 13 – 29, 2025. The season closes with Priestley’s I HAVE BEEN HERE BEFORE, running October 17 – November 2, 2024. All of Albion’s plays are staged at the Kranzberg Arts Center Black Box Theater, 501 N. Grand Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63103. 

HOME, I'M DARLING will run at North Fourth Theatre from August 30 - September 15, 2024.

Original Broadway cast member Alyssa Fox will join the Frozen North American tour as Elsa. Fox on Friday, August 2 at First Interstate Center for the Arts in Spokane, WA. She will close out the tour when the production wraps up in September.
