In Mrs President, an overuse of technical gimmicks reveals the lack of a cohesive, structured script. Mrs President is ultimately a frustrating and disjointed experience, with little insight into the woman it wishes to rehabilitate. In creating the famous photographs of Mary Lincoln, almost exactly in costume and pose, there is no scope for dramatic licence or invention.

All new photos have been released of Keala Settle in the rehearsal rooms for her upcoming role of Mary Lincoln in Mrs. President, opening at Charing Cross Theatre in central London later this month. Check out the photos here!

There’s the cowboy who’s inexplicably present in 19th-century Yorkshire, and how Jonathan Harker sees nothing wrong with doing routine real estate transactions at a remote Transylvanian castle.
