RATINGS: NIGHTLINE Outdelivers THE LATE LATE SHOW in 25-54 & 18-49 Week of 1/13

ABC News' “Nightline” averaged 1.075 million Total Viewers, 360,000 Adults 25-54 and 260,000 Adults 18-49 during the week of Jan. 13, 2020, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “Nightline” led leading CBS' “The Late Late Show with James Corden” (342,000 and 231,000, respectively) in Adults 25-54 (+18,000) and Adults 18-49 (+29,000).   

TAINTED LOVE, MURDER, & PAMELA SMART Airs on ABC News' 20/20, Friday, Jan. 10

Pamela and Gregg Smart appeared to be a loving couple with an idyllic life in the small, peaceful town of Derry, New Hampshire. But one year after getting married, Pamela found Gregg dead in the home they shared. “20/20” reports on the love story that took a sharp, dark turn into a tale of betrayal, sex, power and murder. The two-hour program details the series of events that quickly connected the dots for authorities, allowing them to make several arrests; charges against Pamela, including being an accomplice to first-degree murder, and against others; her trial, the first murder trial in U.S. history to be broadcast on television gavel-to-gavel; and her sentence of life in prison without parole. Even as she approaches three decades in prison, Pamela continues to maintain her innocence.

THIS YEAR: 2019 Airs on ABC News Dec. 22

'The Year: 2019' showcases another monumental year filled with celebrity romance, star drama, politics, breakout stars and the obsessions everyone couldn't get enough of. The two-hour special, anchored by Robin Roberts airs SUNDAY, DEC. 22 (9:00-11:00 p.m. EST), on ABC. Robin is joined by colleagues George Stephanopoulos, David Muir, Michael Strahan, Keke Palmer, Sara Haines, Amy Robach, Lara Spencer, Juju Chang, Mary Bruce and Byron Pitts. Plus, appearances by Sunny Hostin, Abby Huntsman, Dan Abrams and ABC News Contributors Chris Christie, Yvette Simpson and Larry Hackett.

RATINGS: NIGHTLINE Ranks No. 1 in Adults 18-49 for 4th Time in Last 5 Weeks

ABC News' “Nightline” ranked No. 1 in Adults 18-49 (285,000) for the 4th time in the last 5 weeks during the week of Nov. 11, 2019, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “Nightline” (1.172 million and 285,000 respectively) outperformed NBC's “Late Night with Seth Meyers” (1.124 million 273,000, respectively) by 48,000 Total Viewers and by 12,000 Adults 18-49.

RATINGS: NIGHTLINE Ranks No. 1 in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49 for 3rd Time in Last 4 Weeks

ABC News' “Nightline” ranked No. 1 in Adults 25-54 (376,000) and Adults 18-49 (272,000) for the 3rd time in the last 4 weeks during the week of Nov. 4, 2019, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “Nightline” outperformed NBC's “Late Night with Seth Meyers” (1.083 million, 345,000 and 253,000, respectively) by 45,000 Total Viewers, 31,000 Adults 25-54 and 19,000 Adults 18-49.

RATINGS: NIGHTLINE Ranks No. 1 in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49 for the Week of Sept. 30

ABC News' “Nightline” ranked No. 1 in Adults 25-54 (414,000), and Adults 18-49 (302,000) during the week of Sept. 30, 2019, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research.  “Nightline” outdelivered CBS' “The Late Late Show with James Corden” (334,000 and 240,000, respectively) by 80,000 Adults 25-54 and 62,000 Adults 18-49.

RATINGS: NIGHTLINE Outdelivers THE LATE LATE SHOW in All Key Target Demos for Week of 8/12

ABC News' “Nightline” averaged 1.007 million Total Viewers, 336,000 Adults 25-54 and 254,000 Adults 18-49, during the week of Aug. 12, 2019, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “Nightline” beat CBS' “The Late Late Show with James Corden” (957,000, 276,000, and 199,000, respectively) in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+50,000), Adults 25-54 (+60,000) and Adults 18-49 (55,000).

RATINGS: NIGHTLINE Scores First Back-to-Back Wins Across the Board in Over 3 Years

ABC News' “Nightline” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (1.043 million), Adults 25-54 (343,000) and Adults 18-49 (264,000) for the 2nd consecutive week during the week of Aug. 5, 2019, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. In fact, “Nightline” turned in its first back-to-back wins across the board in over 3 years based on weeks of original telecasts on CBS and NBC—since weeks of 6/6/16 and 6/13/16.

ABC News' “Nightline” ranked No. 1 across the board: Total Viewers (1.130 million), Adults 25-54 (342,000), and Adults 18-49 (261,000) during the week of July 8, 2019, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. 

ABC News' NIGHTLINE Grows From the Previous Quarter in Adults 18-49

ABC News' “Nightline” drew 1.207 million Total Viewers, 425,000 Adults 25-54 and 324,000 Adults 18-49 during the 2nd Quarter 2019, based on Most Current Data from Nielsen Media Research. “Nightline” led CBS' “The Late Late Show with James Corden” (383,000 and 267,000, respectively) during the quarter in Adults 25-54 (+43,000) and Adults 18-49 (+57,000).  

NIGHTLINE Ranks No. 1 in Adults 18-49 for the 4th Week in a Row

ABC News' “Nightline” ranked No. 1 in Adults 18-49 (289,000) for the 4 th week in a row during the week of June 17, 2019, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “Nightline” led CBS' “The Late Late Show with James Corden” (224,000) by 65,000 and NBC's “Late Night with Seth Meyers” (280,000) by 9,000.

RATINGS: NIGHTLINE Grows Week to Week Across the Board for the Week of May 13

ABC News' “Nightline” averaged 1.104 million Total Viewers, 376,000 Adults 25-54 and 274,000 Adults 18-49 during the week of May 13, 2019, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “Nightline” led CBS' “The Late Late Show with James Corden” (372,000) in Adults 25-54 (+4,000).

Last night, WNET hosted its annual WNET Gala, to celebrate artists and honor patrons of the American arts community in gratitude of their continued support of emerging creatives. A who's who of stars and patrons gathered at the Plaza Hotel Monday evening to shine a spotlight on seven 2019 honorees for their contributions to the arts including two-time Tony Award-winning actor Nathan Lane, American opera singer Renee Fleming, CEO of AMC Networks Josh Sapan, artistic director and CEO of Ballet Hispanico Eduardo Vilaro, and philanthropists Jody and John Arnhold of the Arnhold Foundation, recognizing them for their outstanding work in the arts, media, and philanthropy.
