A brand new production of Jane Eyre, based on Sally Cookson, Mike Akers and the original company's adaptation of the Charlotte Brontë novel, will come to the Mercury Theatre Colchester in September.

Letters Live, the one-of-a-kind celebration of the power of written correspondence, will return to The Town Hall in Midtown Manhattan, New York City for another unique show, on Thursday 14 May 2026.

Jane Eyre, a musical by John Caird and Paul Gordon based on the novel by Charlotte Brontë, will receive its UK Premiere at Southwark Playhouse Elephant for a strictly limited season.

The dance world is all the richer for having different kinds of storytellers - no doubt. But equally, audience members will inevitably gravitate towards makers they feel a connection with. I should be clear - I don't connect with Cathy Marston’s take on narrative dance, or perhaps just Jane Eyre rather than her whole canon.

JANE/EYRE, the first full-length show from Denver’s Grapefruit Lab, is an exploration of Charlotte Brontë’s classic novel Jane Eyre — with original songs by Teacup Gorilla and Dameon Merkl.

Austin Shakespeare’s production of Jane Eyre offers a strikingly modern and feminist take on the iconic story of a woman’s resilience against the oppressive forces of her time. With music, movement, and a thoughtful focus on Jane’s journey as a woman rather than just her romantic entanglements, this production breathes new life into the well-known narrative.

Austin Shakespeare will be the first American theater company to stage a new version of Jane Eyre, recently developed by the National Theatre of Great Britain and The Bristol Old Vic Theatre. It will run Nov. 9-24 at the Long Center’s Rollins Theatre with a low-priced preview Nov. 8. Regular tickets start at $28.
