Summer most recently starred as Meg Giry in Love Never Dies (Adelphi Theatre) directed by Jack O’Brien, for which she received her third Olivier Award Nomination.



Theatre includes Kathy in Company (Queens Theatre) directed by Jamie Lloyd, Lidochka in Paradise Moscow (Opera North) directed by David Pountney, Maria in The Sound of Music (London Palladium), Janet Van Der Graaf in The Drowsy Chaperone (Novello Theatre) – 2008 Olivier Award Nomination for Best Actress in a Musical, Dick in Dick Whittington (Barbican Theatre) directed by Edward Hall, Maisie in The Boyfriend (Open Air Theatre, Regent’s Park) – 2007 Olivier Award Nomination for Best Supporting Role in a Musical, Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Open Air Theatre, Regent’s Park), Havana Girl in Guys and Dolls (Piccadilly Theatre) directed by Michael Grandage, Violet in It’s A Wonderful Life (workshop), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (London Palladium) in which she understudied and played Truly Scrumptious, Cats (New London Theatre and National Tour), Fosse (European Tour), Anything Goes (Grange Park Opera), Scrooge (Dominion Theatre) and The Sound of Music (Sadler’s Wells).

Television and Film include Daisy Mountbatten in Doctors (BBC), the leading role of Nancy Morell in The Land Girls (BBC), Annabelle in Hotel Babylon (Carnival Films), Beyond The Sea directed by Kevin Spacey and Summer Shaw in Hollyoaks (Lime Pictures).
