L.A.’s Latino Theater Company returns to in-person performance with a vengeance in 2022, offering four world premieres and a West Coast premiere; the presentation of a guest company from Spain; and the 20th annual presentation of La Virgen de Guadalupe, Dios Inantzin Christmas pageant spectacular. Earlier this year, the company announced its new “IMPACT” community engagement initiative that sees the company partnering with the Los Angeles Community College District to provide students district-wide with a world-class education in dramatic arts and to bring students into the company’s home at The Los Angeles Theatre Center.

Fifty percent of marriages end in divorce… but how many end in murder? The Latino Theater Company has turned its world premiere production of Premeditation, written by resident playwright Evelina Fernández, into a six-part audio theater podcast. The first two episodes will launch on Friday, Oct. 1, with the remaining four episodes scheduled for release weekly.

Following the success of Latino Theater Company’s national “Encuentro” theater festival in 2014 and international “Encuentro de las Americas” in 2017, the company is now accepting submissions for “Re-Encuentro 2021,” set to take place virtually Nov. 12 –Nov. 21. The deadline to submit is May 17, 2021 at 5 p.m. PT.
