Michael Bouson Biography
Michael Bouson is a graduate of the esteemed Theatre Program at Miami University of Ohio. Multi-hyphenate Bouson has either Written, Designed, Directed, Produced, Acted (or all of the above at the same time) in nearly 80 Professional Productions since spectacularly failing Carnegie Mellon's acclaimed Pre-College Actor Training Program while still in High School! He is the founder of The Avante Garage! and Co-founder of Rave Revues! Michael is a winner of Three First Night Awards (Special Award for Continued Excellence in Original Theatre, Best Director of a Musical for "McBeth the Musical!" Best Actor in a Musical for "The Melancholy Dane - Hamlet the Musical!" as well as a First Night Honor that he shares with Joe Correll. As a songwriter, Michael has had his work performed on Stage in various musicals, plays and concerts, in Cabarets/Clubs in Nashville and New York, and on National Television (ABC). Also a Reality Television Producer, audiences are probably more familiar with some of the indelible characters he's been associated with (Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, Flipping Out, Ace of Cakes) than they are with him and that's just fine with him!!Michael Bouson News

The historic Ohio Theatre was purchased last October by Michael Bouson and Joe Correll, a couple of TV Producers from LA. Since then they have been very hard at work repairing, restoring, and revitalizing this once vibrant Movie Palace and Vaudeville Theatre into a nostalgic but state-of-the-art Entertainment and Dining center.

Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter, producer and actress Lari White Cannon who made her Broadway debut in the Johnny Cash musical review Ring of Fire died early this morning in Nashville after a battle with peritoneal cancer. She was 52 years old.

Today's spotlight falls upon Michael Bouson and Joe Correll, two of the loveliest people I've ever known. Creative and imaginative, they brought their hilarious hijinks to the stage when they founded The Avante Garage Comedy Repertory Theatre, a comedy improv/musical theater company that set stages afire throughout Music City, introducing some of the region's best-loved performers to audiences who still remember every joke, every laugh and every song. Now living in Los Angeles, where they are both involved in television production, Michael and Joe made a triumphant return to Nashville in late August, when they were saluted at The First Night Honors of 2014.
