Changes are afoot at The Play That Goes Wrong, which welcomes three new cast members to the production now playing at New World Stages starting tonight. Adam Petherbridge will take over the role of Max, reprising the role he played on the national tour, Trevor Braun joins as Dennis, and Clyde Voce makes his Off-Broadway debut as Jonathan.

Shark Week has been an inescapable part of summer in the U.S.  for 34 years. The fear is real. The fascination is palpable. It ended on Sunday. And finally, a week late, the off-Broadway smash The Play That Goes Wrong will celebrate the nation’s obsession with sharks with its own SHARK WEEK at any performance from August 11-14, offering $34.

The long running hit, The Play That Goes Wrong has a whole lotta changes going on and is celebrating a few milestones. It plays at New World Stages. Beginning Monday July 25, Chris Lanceley takes over the role of Chris Bean, Chris French goes on as Jonathan, and Russell Mernagh temporarily joins the company in the role of Max until August 22.

Since theatre has returned to New York City, I have seen many different shows. I‚Äôve been to musicals, plays, and even interactive shows. But nothing can compare to one of the modern classic plays, The Play That Goes Wrong. I‚Äôve been lucky enough to see it twice over the past two months, and even knowing all of the twists and turns, the second performance ended up being just as entertaining, if not more, than the first! Recently, I had the opportunity to interview Chris Lanceley, who plays ‚ÄúJonathan‚ÄĚ in the off-Broadway production of The Play That Goes Wrong at New World Stages.
