Review: CLUE at Ohio Theatre

The script is filled with pratfalls, sight gags, puns and “Dad jokes,” but what makes this play work is the backstory and the personality given to each character and each role contributes something to the plot.

Review: CLUE at Kauffman Center

Three quarters of a century following its first North American game release, a top-quality touring play version of “Clue, A New Comedy” has appeared set in a mansion located in suburban Washington, D.C.   At the risk of sounding like a bad horror novel or even worse “B” movie, all the action takes place in a spooky mansion on a dark and stormy night. This is not the first attempt to leverage the popular game into other venues.

Interview: Elisabeth Yancey of CLUE at Ohio Theatre

When Elisabeth Yancey grew up playing the Hasbro game Clue, she didn’t realize she was preparing for her career. Yancey plays the role of Yvette the Maid in the national tour of CLUE, which will have an extended stay from April 9-14 at the Ohio Theatre (39 E. State Street in downtown Columbus).

Murder… blackmail… a board game?  Clue: A New Comedy is centered on the 1985 Paramount movie as well as the beloved Hasbro game.  This show brings all the classic characters of the game onto the stage for an outlandish comedy experience.

Review: CLUE at Orpheum Theatre Minneapolis

What did our critic think of CLUE at Orpheum Theatre Minneapolis? Murder and blackmail take center stage as six mysterious guests convene at Boddy Manor for a night packed with suspense! Was it Mrs. Peacock in the study with the knife? Or perhaps Colonel Mustard in the library with the wrench? Drawing inspiration from the cult 1985 Paramount movie and the classic Hasbro board game, 'Clue' delivers the ultimate whodunit experience, guaranteed to have you in stitches and on the edge of your seat until the final twist
