This riotous re-telling of Robert Louis Stevenson’s adventure novella is jam-packed with 20th century pop music and 18th century romance. Performed by a dynamic ensemble of actor-musicians, Kidnapped is a colourful coming-of-age story - shot-through with Stevenson’s trademark blend of poetry, humour and heart.

Linda McLean (Glory on Earth at The Lyceum) has written a play with songs (by Michael John McCarthy) about the strength, wit and resilience of those who were sent to Lennox Castle during a regime of segregation from the 1930s to the 1990s.

Continuing its season theme of Titles & Revivals, Dundee Rep has announced the cast for its new musical re-telling of Cinderella, a bold new adaptation premiering on 26 November.

SNUG, an entirely sung story about two stuck strangers - in a pub, featuring live music in two of Cork's most characterful pubs this fast-paced work promises to be hilarious, melodic, and memorable.

Award-winning Lung Ha Theatre Company are finally bringing Linda McLean's Castle Lennox to the stage. Originally due to premiere in May 2020, the play features songs by Michael John McCarthy and is co-produced with Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh.

Audiences are at the heart of this season's programme, with bold new adaptations of big-name classics like The Steamie and Cinderella joining returning favourites including Joan Clevillé's powerful reimagining of the Greek tragedy in Antigone, Interrupted and last year's sell-out sensation, Smile.

The Everyman's Summer highlight will be a world premiere of John B. Keane's Letters of a Country Postman – a humorous fictional account of the exploits of a postman in rural Ireland and a love song to the postal system and its enduring importance today.

Solas Nua's In the Middle of the Fields by Deirdre Kinahan, will make its on-screen debut in New York City's 1st Irish Theatre Festival. The play was originally staged outdoors this past summer at P St Beach, receiving critical acclaim. The film is directed by Laley Lippard, who also directed the theatre production earlier this year, with Emmy Award winner Doug Wilder as director of photography.
