Sid and Babe will show you exactly how it goes, as they manage romance and work on opposite sides of a labor dispute at the Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory.

Artistry kicks off its long-awaited 2023 Season with THE PAJAMA GAME, directed and choreographed by our new Co-Artistic Directors Allyson Richert and Ben Bakken with musical direction by Evan Tyler Wilson, additional choreography by Elly Stahlke, and produced by Kelli Foster Warder. 

The University of South Carolina dance program will present its bi-annual Student Choreography Showcase, a concert of premiere original works by dance majors, November 29 – December 2 at Drayton Hall Theatre.

On September 22 at 8:00 pm, the Barn Theatre School opened the 2005 Pulitzer Prize-winning performance DOUBT by John Patrick Shanley. 

On September 15 at 8:00 pm, the Barn Theatre School opens the Sooper Yooper Blockbuster ESCANABA IN DA MOONLIGHT by Jeff Daniels.

'1898. Swedish immigrant Olaf Ohman digs up a rock on his property near Kensington, MN with 'a story on carved runes' that tells that the Vikings were the first Europeans to set foot in Minnesota. He is praised for his discovery but soon controversy erupts and his life is turned upside down with claims of 'Fake! Fraud! Liar!' Step back in time and enjoy the ride with this whimsical rock 'n roll musical. Rock on!!'

This spring, The Coterie returns to indoor performances with the charming family musical, Pete the Cat, based on the best-selling book series by Kimberly and James Dean. Transforming the fabulous blue feline from the book to the stage, Pete the Cat brings the ever-adventurous but always mellow, Pete, to life on stage with toe-tapping, pop-inspired tunes featuring book & lyrics by Sarah Hammond and music by Will Aronson. Directed by Heidi Van with musical direction by Anthony T. Edwards and choreography by Marc Wayne, Pete the Cat will be performed live on The Coterie’s mainstage located in Crown Center, April 1-May 22, 2022.

Now through November 21, Musical Theater Heritage offers a super production of “Company,” Stephen Sondheim’s breakthrough 1970 musical. “Company” marks the first appearance of the indelible Sondheim musical voice we have heard so often since.

MTH Theater at Crown Center continues its 2021 season with Stephen Sondheim's game-changing, dark musical comedy, COMPANY. The production is directed by Executive Artistic Director Tim Scott and is presented in MTH's Main Stage Theater on the third floor of Crown Center.

It's 1985 and rock-star wannabe Robbie Hart (Eric Morris), is New Jersey's favorite wedding singer. Backed by his tried-and-true bandmates, Sammy (Patrick Hunter) and George (First Year Apprentice Nathan Hoty), Robbie is the life of the party-until his own fiancée, the red-hot siren Linda (2nd Year Apprentice Lexi Pinnata), leaves him at the altar. Julia (Melissa Cotton Hunter), a winsome catering waitress, tries to cheer him up, and it dawns on Robbie he is falling for Julia.

The Barn Theatre is inviting you to SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS THE BROADWAY MUSICAL August 3 through 15! Dive under the sea to the world of Bikini Bottom to see SpongeBob, Patrick and more hit the stage in this new musical based on the popular cartoon.

I can’t think of a better way to welcome live theater back to Kansas City than to BLAME IT ON THE BOOGIE a production of Musical Theater Heritage and playing in the 4th-floor theater in Crown Center. This is MTH’s first indoor production in sixteen months due to the pandemic, and as the announcer says at the beginning of the show it will “transport you to a better time”.

The production is conceived and directed by MTH Executive Artistic Director Tim Scott, with musical direction by Michalis Koutsoupides. The cast includes Erikka Dunn, Jazlyn Epps, T. Eric Morris, Robert Vardiman, Willis White, and LeShea Wright. The dance ensemble features Sydnee Bell, Courtney Germany, and Katie McCluskey. The four-person band is Koutsoupides on Keyboards, Julian Goff on drums, Dustin McKinney on guitar, and Joey Panella on bass.
