USC Dance Students Premiere Original Works This Month

USC's Betsy Blackmon Dance Program will present its Spring Student Choreography Showcase April 25–26 at Drayton Hall Theatre, featuring 11 original works choreographed by dance majors across a range of styles.

Music Theater Heritage has released first look photos from MOBY DICK: A SEA SHANTY, now playing at Crown Center. The world premiere adaptation, written and directed by Tim Scott, reimagines Herman Melville’s novel as a memory play featuring sea shanties. Performances will continue through April 19.

Cyrus Deboo is a happy American Indian-Persian gay man born to immigrant parents.   The happy part of all that hasn’t always been a constant though.  It has taken a lot for him to get to that bit.  In There’s Something Seriously Wrong with Cyrus he tells the sometimes turbulent, frequently hilarious and always authentic story of how he did it.

Theater Latté Da announces that single tickets are now on sale for FALSETTOS, music and lyrics by William Finn, book by William Finn and James Lapine, running September 20, 2023 through November 5, 2023 at the Ritz Theater, 345 13th Avenue NE in Minneapolis. This production is the first of a 5-show season kicking off 26 years of musical theater with Theater Latté Da.

Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe Presents Inaugural Juneteenth Arts Festival

Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe will present its first-ever Juneteenth Arts Festival on June 18. Hundreds of community members were in attendance over the course of the day as WBTT hosted numerous businesses, organizations, and food trucks, screened films from local filmmakers and students from Ringling College of Art & Design, and presented spoken word, dance, and live music on an outdoor stage.
