Emily Drossell BIO

Emily Drossell is a New York City-based librettist, actor, and singer. Her writing credits include The Northern Skies (an original musical), Alice (an operatic reimagining of Lewis Caroll's texts), More Than This World (an original mini musical), and Miss March (a new musical in development). She has collaborated on a variety of new theatrical projects, including Hedgepig Ensemble Theatre’s 2019 holiday adaptation of Little Women (as dramaturg and co-playwright) as well Theatre Dance Vietnam's Dancing Through... (as part of the dramaturgy and script development team) presented at The Tank NYC.

Emily graduated from Vassar College with a B.A. in drama and music, receiving departmental honors in both her majors and was a recipient of the Lucia V. Torian '69 Prize, which allowed her to attend Berlin Opera Academy's Emerging Artist Studio.

New Musical RIVERBEND to Set Sail at Emerging Artists Theatre's Spark Theatre Festival NYC This Weekend


The newest reading of Riverbend: A Musical Mythos will be presented as part of Emerging Artists Theatre's Spark Theatre Festival NYC. Incubated at the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Riverbend is a new musical with book and lyrics by Caroline Game and music by Michael Oosterhout.
