BIO
COLEMAN RAY CLARK (he/him/his) is a director and producer. As the deputy director of The 24 Hour Plays Coleman, is currently producing The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues and has helped to create hundreds of new plays and musicals around the world in the past four years.
Coleman directed and produced the site-aware production of Bare at St. John’s Lutheran Church in 2019. Other directing credits include The Nina Variations by Steven Dietz (The Bridge Production Group); All Shook Up (Fordham University’s Mimes and Mummers); Stop Kiss by Diana Son (The Hatchery); Kiss Me, Kate (The Arts Center of the Ozarks); The Chairs by Eugène Ionesco, Detroit by Lisa D’Amour, and Punk Rock by Simon Stephens (Marymount Manhattan College); and more. Assistant directing credits include Frankenstein (Classic Stage Company) and His Eye Is On the Sparrow (Portland Center Stage) with director Timothy Douglas, The 24 Hour Plays On Broadway (Broadway) with director Mark Brokaw, and Superior Donuts (TheatreSquared) with director Sean Patrick Reilly.
As the founder and artistic director of New Threshold Theatre in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Coleman produced plays and musicals for, with, and by young adults for three years.
Graduate of Marymount Manhattan College. Coleman is a Stage Directors and Choreographers Society Associate Member and alumni of the SDC Foundation intern program.SDC associate member. Current MTC Jonathan Alper Directing Fellow.
