New Performance Dates Announced For METRA: A Climate Revolution Play With Songs at Abrons Arts Center

Flux Theatre Ensemble announces a new performance schedule for their World Premiere of Metra: A Climate Revolution Play with Songs, a speculative mytho-musical drama written by Emily and Ned Hartford with songs by Ned Hartford, directed by Emily Hartford. The show, which was previously announced to run October 28-November 18, will now run October 28-November 12 at the Abrons Arts Center.

The Hess Collective (www.thehesscollective.com), led by Elizabeth Hess, creates interdisciplinary works that address issues of social and global urgency. The troupe returns to La MaMa March 19 to 29 with 'SPOILED,' an original work of physical theater. Three diverse female performers enact stories based on real events of violence against women that are written from the male point of view. The piece is conceived and directed by Elizabeth Hess and sponsored by UN Women USA.

The Drama League presents DirectorFest, the only festival in the United States dedicated to the art of contemporary stage directing. The festival series that began January 10, 2020 continues with an evening of short plays probing the complexity of relationships with The Sporting Life of Icarus Jones by Marcus Gardley, directed by Chika Ike, and The Drowning Girls by Beth Graham, Charlie Tomlinson, and Daniela Vlaskalic, directed by Rebecca Marzalek-Kelly. The limited engagement began January 24, 2020 for three performances through January 25, 2020 at The New Ohio Theatre (154 Christopher Street).
