Chase Atlantic's much-anticipated third EP, DON'T TRY THIS, is out today. Comprised of six tracks, the record “dives into the devilish minds of the band” and underscores their eclectic sound that combines a wide variety of influences including alt-pop, rock, R&B, and hip-hop. Lead track, “What U Call That,” is a dreamy, synth-laced anthem, while “You Too” spotlights the melodic side of the group, complemented by Clinton Cave's haunting saxophone solos. Their latest single, “Like A Rockstar,” bring a more upbeat vibe to the EP, along with hypnotic tracks, “Devilish” and “GreenGreenGreen,” that feature lush electro-beats. Closing track, “Lust,” follows suit and further highlights frontman Mitchel Cave's strong, emotive vocals.
